Volkswagen launches redesign of their website

So happy they lost the old “tape deck” navigation module. The new nav-bar anchors the content much better. The redesign is stronger, visually, but as soon as you rollover a category… it loses all the emotion set up by the all the “hero” shots. On the hover it resorts to an all white background which sets up a shock to your eyes. It need to be more subdued. Hovering over each vehicle, you then get another abrupt profile view. Shopping Tool and Experience work so much better in their drop-downs.
