We are not exactly sure if this is a European accessory or if you can get these in the States. I for one want a 1976 Chopper! With the bicycles of the new bike collection from Volkswagen Accessories, you can also live the passion for Volkswagen on two wheels. In doing so, the bike collection 2009 has the right bicycle for the different requirements of our fans on two-wheels. The comfortable and optimum transporting of the bicycles is ensured by the bicycle holder and carrier adapted perfectly to the different Volkswagen models.
Highlight of the collection 2009: The 26 inch mountain bike. The white outdoor bicycle convinces with its functional equipment. The RST sprung fork can be adjusted simply using a mechanical lock-out function when necessary – for steep hill riding for example. Further highlights are the 24-speed Shimano Deore gear system, the Schwalbe Black Jack tyres, the black aluminium hollow chamber wheels Rigida as well as the comfortable and sporty black and white mountain bike saddle. A further optical highlight of the mountain bike is the red anodised headset on the steering bar.
The small ones just want to be like the big ones: For our small mountain bikers, Volkswagen Accessories is offering a 24 inch Junior mountain bike with frame size of 33 cm for the first time. The design is the same as the 26 inch mountain bike and the RST sprung fork can also be adjusted using a mechanical lock-out function when necessary. The 24-speed Shimano Acera gear system enables it to be switched to the different riding requirements off-road.
The black aluminium hollow chamber wheels Rigida as well as the comfortable and sporty black and white mountain bike saddle also ensure for a lot of fun when riding for the junior mountain bikers.
Versatile and multi-functional: The 28 inch Trekking bike is suitable for various tours off-road as well as for relaxing biking tours in the city. A brushed aluminium frame, 28 inch aluminium hollow chamber rims Rigida, a 24-speed Shimano Deore gear system as well as the hydraulic Magura rim brake HS 11 make the sporty bicycle an all-round talent. The wheel is available as a ladies’ and men’s version.
The 28 inch City bike is ideal for taking you to the weekly market or is suitable for longer trips on a Sunday. The brushed aluminium frame promises a shiny appearance on the road and the 7-speed Shimano Nexus gear system as well as the aluminium steering bar and the V-Brake brakes are responsible for the corresponding portion of sportiness. A further special comfort factor is the low point for climbing onto the bike as well as the RST sprung fork with Lockout-Function that enables a mechanical switching for adjusting the fork.
The Chopper bicycle also has its place in the Bike collection of Volkswagen Accessories again in 2009. The tornado red special edition 1976 as well as the special edition Goal with Copper Orange Metallic paintwork is limited to 500 pieces. Banana saddles, chrome-plated wheels, rear-view mirror and hub-cleaning rings round up the perfection of the cult bike.
