The official beginning of spring is in the calendar for the coming Saturday. Only two weeks later, the Techno Classica in Essen, opens its doors. Two good reasons for many classic car fans can look forward to trips to the first. Also, the team of Classic Volkswagen is again at numerous events at home and abroad to be at the start, to show the history of the brand and to celebrate important anniversaries.

After the start of the season at the Techno Classica (April 7 to 11) in Hall 7 presents Volkswagen Classic a month later in the Kitzbühel Alps Rally (May 26 to 29) with two vehicles. Other events involving Volkswagen Classic are the Sachs Franken Classic (21-May 23), the Danube Classic (June 21 to 22), the Silvretta Classic (July 8 to 11), the Sachsen Classic (August 19 to 22), the Schloss Bensberg Classic (10 to 12). September, creme21 youngtimer rally (September 15 to 19) as well as the 8th season Rally Legend (-10. October) in San Marino .
At these events, this year’s anniversary of the Volkswagen brand stand in the foreground story: 20 years Gulf Country, 20 years Golf GTI, G60, 30 years Dakar victory with the Volkswagen Iltis, and 40 years front-wheel drive. In addition, Volkswagen Classic presented at various occasions, the history of the BlueMotion fuel-saving technology, beginning with the formula-E-vessels of the early 80s.
