GIAC tuned Regal Autosport RSS GTI takes the title of Fastest MK5 at GTI international 2008!

GIAC would like to congratulate Regal Autosport and VF-Engineering for taking top honors at the 2008 GTI International Sprint Competition in Leicestershire, England. Regal brought out their in-house Mk5 GTI equipped with the VF-Engineering/GIAC RSS turbo upgrade for some friendly competition in front of a gathering of enthusiasts.

The Regal GTI was the fastest in their class (that included some other GTI’s with big turbo upgrades) through the 1/4 mile with a time of 13.505. Additionally, they took top honors in the 0-60mph competition as well with a best time of 5.05 seconds. All runs were done on regular street tires with full interior.

The GTI International competition was considered to be a follow up rematch to the Performance Tuner magazine shootout, from which Regal also emerged victorious last month.

Again, congratulations to Regal Autosport for continually raising the bar.
