The ‘Safety is child’s play’ campaign begins with a major child safety seat test
Nothing is more important than our children’s safety. Above all when driving it is essential that children are safely, correctly and reliably buckled up. The right child safety seat for the child’s age plays a central role. The ‘Safety is child’s play’ campaign from Volkswagen Accessories thus begins with a major child safety seat test. ‘Our customers’ opinions are important. Especially with regard to our children’s safety’, stated Tatjana Wiedemann, head of Marketing at Volkswagen Accessories, explaining the motivation for the campaign. ‘Naturally we are also open to suggestions for improvement because our incentive is always to make a good thing even better.’ As a sign of appreciation, the first 500 participants in the child safety seat test each receive a ‘Tim Traffic’ children’s package worth around €50 containing a wolf cuddly toy, neck support and a travel bag from Volkswagen Accessories.
The long-term ‘Safety is child’s play’ campaign focuses on the young Laura who, together with her siblings Max and Lenny, approaches safety from a child’s perspective. Especially for the campaign Volkswagen Accessories has created the www.sicherheit-ist-kinderleicht.de micro site which also contains a colouring-in competition for creative child safety seat design in addition to the child safety seat test. The children can digitally colour in a child safety seat with their very own colour designs using a variety of colour combinations. An expert jury then selects the most attractive child safety seat from the creative entries. This seat will then be manufactured exclusively for the designer as the winning prize. This unique seat will be presented during an event at the Autostadt in Wolfsburg.
In addition, at www.sicherheit-ist-kinderleicht.de Laura also introduces other products from Volkswagen Accessories for greater child safety and enjoyment during long car journeys. In ‘Laura’s Blog’ Laura writes about everything that she and her brothers experience in and away from cars.
