
SEAT Germany has reorganized its engagement in endurance racing. The motor sport department has presented the SEAT Motor Sport Cup to be organized from the current season of the VLN Langstreckenmeisterschaft which will have its start at the Nürburgring Nordschleife on 27th March with the 57th ADAC Westfalenfahrt and which will run over nine further races at the legendary and famous Eifel circuit. This cup will replace the previous SEAT Leon Langstrecken Challenge.
All drivers of SEAT race cars, independent of the configuration of the cars, are eligible to take part. The VLN Regulations and the Regulations applicable for the corresponding class are in force. ‘With the SEAT Motor Sport Cup, we offer a common platform for all SEAT drivers who have previously competed in different classes, combined with an attractive prize money to be distributed’, informs Oliver Schielein, head of the motor sport department and of the department motor sport communication of SEAT Germany. At the end of the season, the three SEAT drivers who have scored the greatest number of VLN points will be proclaimed winners of the SEAT Motor Sport Cup. The winner will be awarded 15,000 Euro. The drivers into second and third positions may enjoy a prize money of 10,000 Euro and 5,000 Euro respectively.
