Hurricane Dennis and my front end

Well Dennis and his aftermath casued me to take a bunch of detours into work this morning. Huge trees were down everyway I went. At one point I decided to do a u-turn and used a driveway which looked safe, well next thing I hear is a huge thud and scrape. Yes, my front end hit bottom. At that point ti was pouring so I just drove out. I ended up going over a manhole cover which then pulled the lower skid plate off. Now it is scraping bad. I had to pull over. I get out and kneel down in the rain to peek under. Having no torx wrench’s nor a lift to get a reach, I had to rip it out.

I called the dealer needing three pieces.
