Power on demand – as of now the certified TECHTRONIC power kit is available for the Porsche Cayenne Diesel. The intelligent engine management increases the performance of the SUV from 176 kW (240 hp) up to 206 kW (280 hp). Furthermore the new EC-certified TECHART sport exhaust system provides the car with an impressive sound.

The power kit TA058/D1 boosts the power output of the Cayenne Diesel from 176 to 206 kW, the generated torque increases from 550 to 620 Nm. After activating by pressing the sport button at the center console the intelligent engine management provides just as much additional power as required, up to the full boost for maximum acceleration. With a performance of 7.2 seconds from 0 to 100 km/h, 18.9 seconds from 0 to 160 km/h as well as a top speed of 233 km/h the SUV has a noticeable increase of performance and driving dynamics.

Hidden Qualities: The Material

GT – uniquely sporty, which is embodied by the program not only in design. The GrandGT internalizes it as well. The exterior package consists of a fiber-reinforced composite based on carbon, glass-fiber-reinforced plastic and polyurethane RIM components. These materials are primarily used in motor sports and are distinguished by their extraordinary product characteristics. The exterior components of the TECHART GrandGT program are remarkable, among other things, thanks to an impressive dimensional stability, great strength and low intrinsic weight. 

Impressive Appearance: The Design

The TECHART GrandGT favors a spectacular performance. The TECHART-typical exterior design catches the eye of onlookers immediately. The powerful front bumper with integrated splitter and large ventilation intakes, for an improved supply of fresh air to the intercooler and an optimum cooling of the brake system, flawlessly underlines the dynamic contours. TECHART-typical: the sporty four-seater’s suitability for everyday use. The multifunctional daytime running lights that are integrated in the front bumper give the Panamera not only a distinctive appearance. It combines daytime running lights, position lights, parking lights and turn signals as LED system unit in a common housing and integrates seamlessly in the design of the Panamera’s front. An additional design highlight is the TECHART Aero engine hood that is constructed of high-quality carbon fibers, with integrated air outlets for an optimized regulation of the heat balance in the engine compartment and which impressively completes the GrandGT program for the Panamera’s front end.

Powerful side skirts and flared fenders increase the width of the Panamera by 21mm on each side of the front axle compared to the standard vehicle and 42mm on each side of the rear axle, resulting in a wider track and thus improved cornering abilities. Typical TECHART: attention to detail. Headlight trims or trim slats for the side air outlets made of high-quality polyurethane RIM set elegant highlights on the side of the vehicle in individual colour combinations and emphasize the dynamic appearance of the GrandGT.

The design of the rear end incorporates the front’s design and emphasizes the unique character of the GrandGT – sporty, confident and masculine. In combination with the TECHART roof spoiler, the much larger rear spoiler compared to the first Panamera Program, results in even less lift at the rear axle and greater driving stability and active safety – even at high speed. An additional GrandGT design feature: the distinctive rear apron with integrated air openings and matching diffuser. The oval dual tail pipes of TECHART’s sporty exhaust system, which are fully integrated in the vehicle’s rear end, optimally complete the exterior tuning package. As an alternative, a sporty exhaust system with valve control can be selected – for audible more sportiness.

Taking a look under the Aero-engine hood, the GrandGT is still impressive. The TECHART Engine styling package consisting of carbon fiber cylinder-head covers with an embossed TECHART logotype as well as accentuating highlights in flash red is demonstrating the power of the car already in standstill. The TECHART powerkit TA 070/T1 boosts the power output oft the 4.8 l twin-turbo engine from 368 kW to 426 kW. The generated torque increases from 700 Nm to powerful 830 Nm. Andrew Bynum, star player of the Los Angeles Lakers, the reigning champions of the North American basketball league NBA, visited TECHART. With the size of 7.0 feet he is probably one of the tallest guests who have ever visited the TECHART headquarter in Leonberg so far.

On a factory tour, the US-American had a look behind the scenes of TECHART. In the on-site saddlery, he had the chance to experience the creation process of handmade exclusive interior options like the TECHART sport steering wheels or tailor-made seats, from all-leather interiors to ornamental stitching – exclusively handcrafted on a world-wide unique level.

Also in the workshop, the 23-year-old Bynum was impressed by the TECHART quality standards. Whether aerodynamics, exterior design or automotive engineering, the passion for perfection is always the focal point at TECHART.

After the visit of the TECHART show room there was the next highlight: unlimited driving pleasure. A test drive with the TECHART GTStreet RS, based on the Porsche 911 GT2, demonstrated why cars of the TECHART GTStreet program are among the most powerful sports cars in the world. After the return, a second car was already waiting for Andrew Bynum: a refined Porsche Panamera Turbo with the TECHART power kit TA 070/T1. A power boost of 80 hp at the push of the sport button provides the car with a total of 580 hp. Furthermore the Panamera convinces with high-quality individualization like the Aerodynamic Kit I or the Entertainment Package W2 with two displays integrated in the design of the front seats.

Our photographer, Luc Peuters, spotted the insane TECHART Magnum while shooting today at the 25 Hours VW Fun Cup. TECHART took the performance up to 680hp which catapults the Cayenne from 0 to 100 in 4.2 seconds and 0 to 200 in 14.5 seconds.

In a close cooperation with TECHART Automobildesign, Continental developed a performance tire, which is specially designed for sport driven use: the ContiForceContact.

After more than two years of development, numerous rubber compounds, various construction designs as well as countless test drive kilometers with the TECHART GTStreet based on the Porsche 911 Turbo, the demands of TECHART and Continental on the common tire development project were fulfilled: a road-legal tire which can be driven with extraordinary steering precision, featuring well-defined limits and which allows the vehicle to perform to its full potential.

In mid-June, the participants of the sport auto perfection training had the chance to test the impressing quality of the tire on the Nordschleife. Provided with the ContiForceContact and led by a Porsche 911 Turbo, refined by TECHART and provided with the TECHART performance kit TA 097/T2 and 620 hp, the tires were comprehensively tested.

In combination with the ContiForceContact, TECHART exclusively offers a performance-oriented 19-inch wheel set, which satisfies the highest demands towards individuality, precision and driving dynamics. Initially the classic five-spoke TECHART Formula light alloy wheel is available.
