A dreary Wednesday morning greeted the teams and the first of two winter test days for the American Le Mans 2012 season. Morning temps were hovering around 55* with the first session starting 8-11:30AM ET. The 2012 Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge season started with a bang at Daytona International Speedway on Friday as a three-lap sprint to the finish made for a thrilling finish. In the end Billy Johnson and co-driver Jack Roush Jr. were able to hold off a trio of Fall-Line Motorsports BMW M3s to score Roush Performance’s first career win at the 3.56-mile speedway. Here’s our fist set of shots from the 50th running of the Rolex 24 at Daytona. It has been a great time and after 6+ hours of racing Porsche leads the GT class. Leads swapping, Ferrari’s taking each other out and the Audi R8 GRAND-AMs are getting broken in, literally. However that is not unexpected it is a wonderful site to finally see the Audi R8 in race form here in the U.S.

Here’s our first set of images from the 24H Dubai. After 10+ hours of racing, we’ve seen a good number of lead changes and only one DNF from the AF Corse Ferrari. At the moment, the Mercedes SLS AMG GT3′s have been strong and running at the top for while now. Porsche has been absent from the front running but there are now 5 in the top ten. Lamborghini’s have slowly exited the top 10 but one is currently running 11th. United Autosport’s two Audi R8 GT3 LMS have been running well and currently 14/16th. Universally talented, the new A6 allroad quattro extends the range of uses for the A6 Avant because when the asphalt ends, it just keeps on driving.
