The German Squad Enters Dutch Pair Dijstra-van der Zwaan
The latest addition to the International GT Open is Brinkmann Motorsport, which will make its debut in the series with an Audi R8 entered in the GTS category. The team’s owner and manager, former driver Olly Brinkmann (pictured) has confirmed the drivers of the Audi will be Dutchmen Siebrand Dijkstra and Arjan van der Zwaan.
The German team, based in Essen, has a long pedigree in GT series and trophies in Northern Europe, and has won these last three seasons (2007-09) the Dutch Supercar Challenge, the main GT series in the Netherlands.
Olly Brinkmann has close personal and sports ties with Holland. No suprise then that the pair to be driving the Audi in the 2010 GT Open will be formed by Dutch drivers Siebrand Dijkstra (42) and Arjan van der Zwaan (43), both coming from the Dutch Supercar Challenge.
