Reiter Lamborghini tops first practice at Paul Ricard FIA GT3

Under the hot summer sun in the South of France, the FIA GT3 European Championship took to the track for the first session of the weekend at Paul Ricard, with Round 5 winner Albert von Thurn and Taxis, in the nr24 Reiter Engineering Lamborghini Gallardo, setting the fastest time of the first Free Practice session with a lap of 2:09.307 on the 5.8km circuit.

Maxime Soulet, in the nr1 Prospeed Competition Porsche 911 GT3 R, was second fastest with a lap time just 0.023s behind the session best. Third, with a time of 2:09.601, was Matt Griffin in the nr21 MTECH Motorsport Ferrari 458 Italia, just ahead of the nr3 Graff Racing Mercedes Benz SLS of Mike Parisy. The session was red flagged 3 minutes from the end of the session due to debris on the track from the nr13 Fischer Racing Ford GT.
