Starting in July 2011, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is bringing the mid-engine coupe to market in a special edition limited to 500 units boasting even better performance and especially lavish equipment specification. The Cayman S Black Edition is powered by a 3.4 liter six-cylinder boxer engine with power output increased by 10 hp (7 kW) to 330 hp (243 kW) at 7,400 rpm (an additional 200 rpm). The maximum torque remains unchanged at 370 Newton meters at 4,750 rpm. Continue reading ‘Porsche unleashes murdered out Cayman S Black Edition’
The Porsche alphabet reserves the letter R for very special sports cars: R for responsive and refined – but most especially for racy. The new Cayman R combines all these attributes without compromise. 55 kilograms (121 lb) lighter and with ten horsepower more than the Cayman S, the new mid-engine coupé from Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is designed for spectacular road behaviour. With its specially adapted sports chassis, it provides an even more precise driving experience than the Cayman S. The Cayman R makes its world debut today at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Continue reading ‘Porsche Cayman R to take a bow at the Los Angeles Auto Show’
More models of the 911, Boxster and Cayman delivered in September
Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, sold more cars this September than last September. Overall, 1,581 units were sold to US customers, which is about 8 percent more than September 2008. The current figures reflect the continuing overall slump in the US market as a result of the worldwide financial crisis.
The Panamera, the new sport sedan of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is already in the spotlight, even before its sales launch. The online campaigns for the fourth model have already earned numerous awards.
The web special: ‘The 4th Dimension. The new Panamera,’ with an interactive online magazine at its core, was awarded Summit gold in the category ‘Interactive Media’ by a high-profile jury at the Summit Creative Awards out of over 3,000 contestants from 26 countries. The International Academy of the Visual Arts recognized the online campaign with the Communicator Award of Distinction (silver status) in the ‘Interactive’ category, and the Design Centrum North Rhine-Westphalia presented it with the red dot design award in ‘Communication Design.’ In Munich, the web special also received a further accolade from the International Forum Design (Hanover) with an iF Communication Design Award in the ‘Digital Media’ category.
