TECHARRT Porsche Cayenne Turbo sets new Fullsize-SUV high speed record at the High Speed Event in Nardo

TECHART Automobildesign really set the sparks flying at this year`s trial of strength at the High Speed Event in Nardo/Italy. Test driver Sandro Reuter reached a top speed of 321,2 km/h, respectively 200 mph, with the TECHART refined Porsche Cayenne Turbo. TECHART thus secured a new speed record for Fullsize-SUVs. The circular 12.4 kilometer track is still considered to be the world´s fastest motor racing circuit, even ahead of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the United States. Porsche Announces Cayenne S Hybrid in 2010

Porsche AG, the Stuttgart, Germany-based high-performance car and SUV manufacturer, shared more information about its Cayenne S Hybrid, which will debut next year. Using a parallel full hybrid design with the electric motor between the combustion engine and the transmission, Porsche engineers have been able to drive at speeds up to 86 mph without at all using the combustion engine.

The Porsche contingent for the 2008 ‘Transsyberia Rally powered by Sony Ericcson‘ is complete. On 11 July, twenty Cayenne S Transsyberia set off on a long journey of over 7,000 kilometres from the Red Square in Moscow to Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia. Porsche pilots are up against experienced marathon rally teams who have also set their sights on victory with vehicles from Land Rover, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Puch, Suzuki and Toyota.
