Starting in September, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is offering a new product line for retrofitting motorsport accessories on all Type 997 models of the GT3 and GT3 RS. Using these special components, the enthusiast is able to further customize the exterior of his car with weight-optimized materials such as titanium and carbon also used in motorsport.

Porsche is awarded multiple international awards for its online marketing campaigns

The Panamera, the new sport sedan of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, is already in the spotlight, even before its sales launch. The online campaigns for the fourth model have already earned numerous awards.

The web special: ‘The 4th Dimension. The new Panamera,’ with an interactive online magazine at its core, was awarded Summit gold in the category ‘Interactive Media’ by a high-profile jury at the Summit Creative Awards out of over 3,000 contestants from 26 countries. The International Academy of the Visual Arts recognized the online campaign with the Communicator Award of Distinction (silver status) in the ‘Interactive’ category, and the Design Centrum North Rhine-Westphalia presented it with the red dot design award in ‘Communication Design.’ In Munich, the web special also received a further accolade from the International Forum Design (Hanover) with an iF Communication Design Award in the ‘Digital Media’ category.

Take a look at the 2010 model year GT3 and it all looks so subtle, doesn’t it? Now you know I’m going to tell you the long list of changes if only to silence your skepticism.

Of all the things making this GT3 really and honestly the best civilian Porsche of all time, item number one is the masses of added downforce fore and aft. All 911 experiences up until the new GT2 included a dose of nervousness. That busy rear end with the axle spitting out all the power and torque available coupled to just a modicum of downforce has consistently made for a dancing front end and a firmer grip on the steering wheel than I’d like.

Delivery of the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup has begun

The wait for the green light to Porsche’s one-make series will soon be over: Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG, Stuttgart, begins delivering the new 911 GT3 Cup to the teams of the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup and the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland. For the 2009 season, the 420 hp racing sports cars underwent modifications to details, including a new air ducting to optimise the interior ventilation. Like last season, in the international Supercup the vehicles are fitted exclusively with the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake PCCB.

Tony Rivera Wins in World Challenge GT Debut at Sebring

Tony Rivera, of Missouri City, Texas, became the first SCCA Pro Racing SPEED World Challenge GT driver to win in his series debut in five years, taking the Toyo Tires Season Opener at Sebring International Raceway, part of the 57th Annual Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring Presented by Fresh From Florida. Eric Curran, of East Hampton, Mass., and Brandon Davis, of Huntington Beach, Calif., completed the top three.
