
Gabriele Tarquini finished second in the first of the two World Touring Car Championship races in Brno, Czech Republic.The defending champion started from second position on the grid in his SEAT León 2.0 TDI and was only beaten by winner Rob Huff (Chevrolet) after twelve laps.
In the second race Portuguese driver Tiago Monteiro collected the most points for the SEAT factory team after finishing sixth. Tarquini was forced to retire from the race due to technical problems while holding a promising position two laps from the finish.
