WTCC: Gabriele Tarquini tops first saturday practice

Reigning champion Gabriele Tarquini was fastest in the first saturday practice session at Marrakech. The SEAT-driver lapped the track in 1:46.975, six tenths ahead of multiple champion Andy Priaulx.
Tiago Monteiro and Augusto Farfus Jr. made it two SEAT’s and two BMW’s in the top four, with Monteiro third and Farfus fourth.

Alain Menu was fastest Chevrolet driver in fifth, nine tenths behind Tarquini’s time.

Tom Coronel was first driver to over a second behind Tarquini with leading privateer Franz Engstler right behind him.
