The Audi R8 GT3 has now tasted podium! Marc Basseng, Frank Stippler and Christian Abt split the winning Mamero Racing Porsche and the Manthey Racing Porsche, which won the season opener.
Volkswagen, however had a bit of bad luck. The Scirocco GT24-CNG drivern by John Barker, Peter Terting and Vanina Ickx, which looked to have the class won, was sidlined with defective in the electronic drive.
The sister (petrol) car driven by rally champion Carlos Sainz, Florian Gruber and Martin Karl Hofer worked their way up to first from 19th only to be sidelined by a broken driveshaft.
