Skoda claims a one-two but Hanninen loses lead in the end

Skoda´s spectacular debut with the new Fabia S2000 continues, as the Czech team takes its first one-two of the rally on SS8. Juho Hanninen won the stage from his team mate Jan Kopecky, further increasing the Finn´s rally lead to over a minute and a half. Peugeot Belgium´s Freddy Loix was third on the stage to consolidate his third place overall.

However, after SS9, Hanninen lost two minutes on the final stage of the day, dropping down to third place. Sebastien Ogier now leads in the BFGoodrich Drivers´ Team car by 30 seconds from Freddy Loix. Stephane Sarrazin won the final stage of the day, as the cars now return to final service in Valence.
