The Porsche Carrera World Cup is breaking all records. Now the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup will also run a classification round at the greatest Porsche race in the world on 25 June on the Nordschleife of the Nurburgring. At the legendary race track, also known as “Green Hell”, more than 200,000 spectators will witness up to 200 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup race cars competing. In front of home crowds on the traditional Silverstone race track, Nicholas Tandy fulfilled the dream of his first victory in the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup. At the wheel of Konrad Motorsport’s Porsche 911 GT3 Cup, the local hero and Supercup rookie won the sixth round of the season of the world’s fastest international brand trophy series with a 5.572 second advantage over René Rast (Germany). Round 3 at the Spanish Grand Prix
With his double victory at the season-opener in the Kingdom of Bahrain, René Rast stepped into the role of favourite in the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup. At the first race of the season on European soil for the world’s fastest international one-make cup, Rast is determined to further extend his points’ advantage in Barcelona on 9 May. “We had a fabulous start to the season. Round 2 at the Bahrain Grand Prix
Notching up two victories on the Bahrain International Circuit, René Rast from Germany kicked off the new season of the Porsche Mobil1 Supercup. After winning the season-opener on Saturday he repeated his success in Sunday’s race with the new Porsche 911 GT3 Cup fielded by Al Faisal Lechner Racing ahead of his Dutch teammate Jeroen Bleekemolen. Third position went to Supercup newcomer Nicholas Tandy (Konrad Motorsport) from Great Britain. Dr. Wolfgang Porsche, Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Dr. Ing. h.c. F.
