Audi maintained its Le Mans testing dominance in the early afternoons first practice session from Spa-Francorchamps. 55 cars would take to the track and kick off The 1000Km of Spa weekend. Once again, all focus would be on the diesel battle. Peugeot would pounce first with a 1-2-3 but it would be Audi stepping it up in the end. Gallery after the jump!
Peugeot’s Bourdais would hold the top spot for sometime in 2:04.217, with Dumas in the no1 Audi R18 TDI pulling up in second.
Dindo Capello in the no3 R18 TDI would then drop the hammer with a 2:03.844 moving in to the top spot.
Dumas would come back with a 2:04.054, moving in to 2nd and dropping the Peugeot to third.
Unfortunately, young gun, Benoit Treluyer would visit the tire-wall at Rivage bringing out a reflag. The no2 R18 TDI would suffer some damage and end up in fourth with a 2:05.329.
Second practice will kick off at 16:55 / 4:55 PM ET
