2010 DTM calendar announced with 10 races in five countries

Just as it has been the case last year, the 2010 season of the most popular international touring car series again will comprise 10 races. The rounds of the 2010 season will be held in four European and one Asian country. Traditionally, the season will be kicked off at the Hockenheimring Baden-Württemberg: on 25th April, the German GP circuit will be the venue of the first battle for 2010 DTM championship points. A new asset to the DTM calendar is the race held at Valencia, Spain, on 23rd May.

Another special highlight for the SDTM enthusiasts represents the series’ expansion to Asia. On 31st October, Shanghai will stage the 2010 season finale. Just as the 2004 DTM invitation race in Shanghai, this year’s DTM round again will be held at a circuit specially built for this event in the heart of the Chinese metropolis.

The calendar was created in accordance with the German Motor Sport Association (DMSB) and DTM rights holder and promoter ITR e.V. and has been presented for approval to DMSB and FIA.
