24hr Le Mans: 3 Endurance Asia team drivers are qualified

As required by the Official Rules of the 24 Heures du Mans, any new driver must perform 10 laps of the circuit, including 3 night laps. For Endurance Asia Team, this obligation applies to all 3 drivers. Darryl O’Young, Philippe Hesnault and Plamen Kralev. The team managed to qualify 3 drivers, despite difficult track conditions and changing weather. It was raining al the day at the track, so it was never completely dry.

Darryl took the wheel first, and completed his 10 laps without any problems. “I love the circuit, it is superb. I love the Porsche curve, but I prefer it on dry conditions, like it was in my first lay, rather than in the rain. I also like the Mulsanne’s straight. It’s a very special feeling when you’re there. It’s just you and the car, just unique “says Darryl. Philippe has a penchant for Indianapolis. “It passes quickly, with the slight banking … A beautiful corner.”

During the free practice session, drives were also able to familiarize themselves with the car and its accessories, including the rear camera, located below the rear wing, and connected to a screen on the cockpit. “I do not really use this camera, I tend to look in the right miror, to see what happens … But I’ll try to use both” says Darryl. Tomorrow, a more clement weather is expected. The opportunity to pick a time for the race, whose departure will be Saturday at 15:00.
