I’m not a fan of iTunes or the iPod. I do use a G5 at work but mainly run my lappie next to me as my music player running musikcube or foobar2000. I also use a Rio Karma, that I and many others think is superior to the iPod. Unfortuantely, D&M sold the Rio division. I do think Apple has done a fine job with the player and the iPod but I’m more into choice and not into being locked down. Yes it plays mp3′s but if you buy from iTunes it’s AAC. I prefer other audio formats and the Karma plays many.
Anyways, VW and Audi were on the top 1-2 on Neilsen / NetRatings. This is nice news for the manufacturers but if you check out the iPod page and getting it in your car, you’ll see that both VW and Audi still aren’t showing anything. It says “Coming Soon”. Now that seems like a complete miss for your target audiences. Moonraker is wonderful and all but this is what they need to focus on, especially VW!
If the iTunes/iPod market is hitting 20.7 million unique visitors and these users already own an iPod wouldn’t you think they would purchase a vehicle that they can use right off the lot with their music/player…
Owell, back to hooking my Karma up through blitz-safe! (Also works with iPods)
