Muscle Milk Team CytoSport will again add German ace and Porsche expert Sascha Maassen to its American Le Mans Series driving squad for the major endurance races in 2010.
Maassen, who finished on the podium with Greg Pickett and Klaus Graf last season at Petit Le Mans, will once again be partnered with the duo, this time for three races, starting with the 58th Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring presented by Fresh from Florida in March. (continue reading…)

We are definitely looking forward to Black Swan coming back in 2010 to the American Le Mans Series. Black Swan Racing ran as Team Trans Sport in 2007 running a Porsche GT3 RSR, then the Falken Tire livery Doran Ford GT in 2008. After a year hiatus, their back with Tim Pappas and Jeroen Bleekemolen at the wheel. Bleekemolen will be racing this weekend at the Rolex 24 At Daytona with Magnus Racing.

Flying Lizard Motorsports announced today that the team will return to the American Le Mans Series in 2010 for their seventh consecutive season, fielding two Porsche 911 GT3 RSRs in the GT class.* Joerg Bergmeister and Patrick Long, both Porsche factory drivers, will reunite in the No. 45 Flying Lizard Porsche to defend their 2009 ALMS GT2 driver’s championship title. As we’ve said Audi will push the R8 LMS program further. Unfortunately, 20 will be available for the European market so it is unlikely we will see one in the U.S. United Autosports is entering one in the 2010 FIA GT3.The Audi R15 plus will be at the highlight racing in the newly formed Le Mans Intercontinental Cup. They do not mention Sebring but do call out the Petit Le Mans race. More good news is the DTM commitment. They’ve got the hat-trick, now can they go for 4 Championships in a row? With the DTM now negotiating a rule merger with the Japanese Super GT, we may see BMW and Toyota enter!
