New online version of DTM Race Driver 3

The new online version DTM Race Driver 3 has been available since yesterday. Just as the current Codemasters racer, the so-called ‘E-Toy’ also offers you the chance of racing on the 2005 DTM circuits, with the cars also representing the 2005 grid: Audi A4 DTM, AMG Mercedes C-Class and Opel Vectra GTS V8. In the single-lap shoot-out, every thousandth of a second may turn out to be crucial - so hurry to your keyboard and go for it!

The ‘Big Brother’ of the online version, ‘DTM Race Driver 3’ offers you 100 different competitions in 35 different motor racing disciplines - more than every other racing game has done so far. For a long time, the racing enthusiasts had to be satisfied with tuned cars, street cars or fictitious cars. In DTM Race Driver 3, however, there are only the best, really existing racing cars available - both current and classic models.

Inter alia, the game features the full 2005 DTM season. Individual car set-ups, practice sessions and qualifying sessions provide the user a truly realistic motor racing experience that can be beaten only by the genuine DTM races alone.

EDAG Biwak at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show

Holy hell, I’m speechless! I’ve seen the concept drawings already and wasn’t moved by them, well in the good way.

This thing is hideous and it’s destroyed the lasting design of the beetle. Round for a reason!

World Premiere of the Concept Car “EDAG Biwak” at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show

At this year’s Motor Show in Geneva, EDAG Engineering + Design AG will be exhibiting two exceptional vehicle concepts which will reinforce the company’s reputation as an innovative and creative partner to the international motor vehicle industry. As a world premiere, the globally active company will be presenting the “EDAG Biwak”, a sensational derivative concept based on the New Beetle.

From styling through to testing various manufacturing scenarios, it took the EDAG stylists and engineers just three months to complete implementation of the concept car, and prepare it as a business case. With the hard top version of the Pontiac Solstice, first presented at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2006, EDAG – global engineering partner to the automotive industry – is exhibiting yet another practicable concept.

TOCA Race Driver 3 review

Found this over on gamespot.com

TOCA 3 boasts an awesome variety of racing disciplines, and it backs that boast up with some really excellent driving mechanics.

The Good: 70 licensed cars, 80 licensed tracks, and more than 35 disciplines of racing; two distinct career modes that should keep you busy for a while; great graphics and sound; online play is nicely customizable, and a lot of fun; the amount of realism in the damage modeling, physics, and opposing ai is delightful
.

The Bad: Amount of precision required in some races can get frustrating; online game browser could have used a little more work; some of the ancillary visual components aren’t so great.

Codemasters’ TOCA Race Driver series has always been about two things: solid, simulation-based driving, and an insane amount of racing variety. Unlike most other racers out there, TOCA skips the usual methodology of sticking to one main type of racing and overloading the package with a ton of licensed cars. Certainly TOCA does have quite a few licensed vehicles, but they’re spread across such a wide assortment of racing disciplines that at times it seems like no two races are ever alike. TOCA Race Driver 3 is the latest game in the series, and it’s every bit as good as its predecessors, if not markedly better. The variety of race types has grown significantly, the driving remains a great deal of fun, and the game still presents itself extremely well.

TOCA Race Driver 3 peels out at retail

Bah! What crap! I’ve waited how long for this game to be released, only to call around today and find out that they only received the PS2 version. ebgames said they didnt know why and are not sure when to get the XBOX release. Owell off to play the PC demo, which is awesome!

Codemasters’ TOCA Race Driver 3 for the PlayStation 2, Xbox, and PC is ready to burn rubber, as the publisher today announced the game has launched at retail.

Building on the multi-motorsport approach of the series, TOCA Race Driver 3 features more than 80 different cars in total, most of which are officially licensed, such as the German DTM, the British GT, and the Australian V8 Supercars. Notable additions over previous TOCA games include Baja trucks, monster trucks, sprint cars, and Koenig-tuned Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and Porsches. All the cars in the world aren’t worth much without somewhere to race them, so Codemasters also included more than 40 tracks with enough multiple configurations to push the total number of course layouts above the century mark.

PC gamers interested in kicking the tires on the game before committing to a purchase can download the freshly available PC multiplayer demo. The 556MB demo lets 12 players hit the road in Mercedes C-Klasse cars, Renault Cilos, and Dodge Chargers.

TOCA Race Driver 3 is rated E10+ for Everyone 10 and Older and retails for $29.99 on the PC and $39.99 on the PS2 and Xbox. Check back soon for GameSpot’s full review.

ToCA Race Driver 3 Element Video: Damage

I have been waiting for this game to launch! Now it’s right around the corner! The PC demo of this game is unreal as well. It features the AMG DTM car, which I happen to work on the websites for MAG and I’m a huge DTM Series fan.

Codemasters just put out this new video of the “damage” control within the game. One word, SICK! Enjoy!
