APR Motorsport Brings The Queen of the Ring, Sabine Schmitz, to KONI Challenge

APR Motorsport is very proud to announce the signing of Sabine Schmitz, the winningest female endurance racer in the world, as a team driver. Sabine will join the team for her first of two initial races at Iowa Motor Speedway this coming weekend, co-driving the #181 APR Motorsport/Team Janica Racing VW GTI with Mark White. Sabine will be filling in for Randy Pobst, who has a conflicting race in the Speed GT Series, in which he is currently the points leader and is actively defending his 2007 Championship. Konie Series GS: Barber Motorsports Park

The race is winding down and with 40min left, there are no Porsches in the Top 11. TRG takes up #12 with Scott Schroeder at the wheel. It looks to be a Mustang / BMW track.

We are live from the Rolex Sports Car Series Porsche 250 at Barber Motorsports Park. We had a strong 2hr drive over from Atlanta. Great weather and no traffic.

Today’s weather will be mostly sunny. Hazy through 9 am. Highs around 95. Light west winds. It is going to be a hot one.

The weekends racing will feature Rolex Series DP, Rolex Series GT as well as the Koni Series GS.

Today will consist of practice for all and qualifying for the Rolex Seris GT / DP.

The Koni Series GS cars qualified yesterday. We will post those results in a bit.

The race will be shown on SPEEDtv, tomorrow at 3:00 PM ET.
