The 2009 Volkswagen Phaeton

We hope this sells well for Volkswagen but I’m scouting a 2006 Phaeton V8 for $37k with 47k miles or you could go with a ‘04 with 51k miles at $19k

The 2009 Volkswagen Phaeton
  • Perfected Controls Concept with New Infotainment System
  • New infotainment system with touchscreen and up to 1,000 Watts of music power
  • New V6 FSI gasoline engine with greater power and fuel efficiency
  • All engines of upgraded Phaeton already satisfy Euro-5 emissions standard
  • Efficient V6 TDI of the Phaeton consumes just 9.0 liters of diesel on average

The Phaeton – the Volkswagen flagship – has new technical features on board starting right now. An entirely new generation of infotainment systems (RCD 810 and RNS 810) is being introduced. The systems – equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen – offer significantly extended functionality, quicker access to infor¬mation and a nearly self-explanatory user interface logic. Another new design on this model is the control unit for the standard four-zone automatic climate control system. The RCD 810 or RNS 810 and climate control share a common module in the center console area. The center console itself has a completely new look. As an option, the RNS 810 radio-navigation system can be extended to include a new 1,000 Watt strong high-end sound system from Danish hi-fi specialist Dynaudio. How Porsche fleeced hedge funds and roiled the world’s financial markets

GREAT cornering and eye-popping acceleration make Porsche’s cars popular among thrill-seeking bankers and hedge-fund managers. For about three years it had been steadily increasing its stake in VW, a much larger yet less profitable carmaker with which it shares a little production. Its buying had driven up the price of VW’s shares to above the level at which it would make any economic sense for Porsche to buy VW. Seeing this, hedge funds sold shares in VW that they did not own. One strategy was a bet that VW’s share price would fall. Some also bought shares in Porsche, in a wager that shares of both would converge.”
