SEAT, sponsor of Shakira’s 2010 European tour, has launched a wide-ranging all-embracing campaign called ‘Good Stuff’ on the occasion of its collaboration with the Colombian singer. The title itself is taken from one of the tracks on Shakira’s latest album She Wolf, and aims to penetrate the market and reach a young audience by using imagination, ‘good vibes’ and an up-beat tone.   • The spot, showing the different SEAT models, makes a digital animation journey through a magic world bursting with colour and imagination.
  • The advert background song is Good Stuff, a track off Shakira’s new album, She Wolf.
  • A prelude to the sponsorship of Shakira’s European Tour

The first result of the new joint adventure of SEAT and the international pop star Shakira is about to appear for the first time, in the shape of a publicity spot created in digital animation – using cutting edge technology in the automotive industry – with Shakira as the star attraction. The advert, shot last December in Madrid with post-production in London, will be seen on television screens from March onwards. SEAT and Shakira have signed a collaboration agreement whereby the car manufacturer will become the main sponsor of international pop star’s forthcoming European tour. SEAT is the official car of the Davis Cup World Group Final

SEAT will be the official car at the Davis Cup final being held on 4-6 December at the Palau Sant Jordi arena in Barcelona pitching Spain against the Czech Republic. With this action, the Spanish brand continues showing its support of leading sports competitions by providing the organizers with 30 vehicles from its sporty range of models to coordinate one of the most important events of the year. SEAT to lead development of future electrically-powered transport in Spain

  • Laying of technological foundations for development and manufacture of hybrid and electrically-powered vehicles in Spain
  • Project awarded 40 million euro subsidy by CDTI (Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation)
  • Joint project with major partners from automotive, infrastructure and energy sectors.

SEAT is to lead a project that will lay the foundations for Spain to become a key player in the field of electrically-powered transport. The Proyecto VERDE (‘Green Project’) has been granted a CDTI subsidy amounting to 40 million euros and will be rolled out over a period of four years. The project aims to carry out research to generate the necessary know-how with a view to the future manufacture and marketing of eco-friendly vehicles in Spain – mainly plug-in hybrid and electrically-powered cars. SEAT’s Martorell factory becomes a benchmark for renewable energy production

Early next year the ‘SEAT al Sol’ project will see the light, generating clean electric power at the Martorell factory. SEAT’s environmental conservation project to reduce greenhouse gas emissions takes full advantage of one of Spain’s greatest resources, the Sun, and the high number of sunlight hours in the area of Martorell and its surroundings.
