Lucas Luhr put in a fine performance and took his first win of the season. This is also Audi’s second win at St. Pete on a very tough street course that doesn’t fair well for the TDI’s.
In GT2, Jorg Bergmeister was in the lead and going strong until a crash forced him off and took out the radiators in the last 15min. That was the end for the #45. However the #46 with an Overbeek at the wheel, was sitting in third which then moved them up to 2nd. Closing out the podium was the Farnbacher Loles Porsche 911 GT3 RS in 3rd.
The new Porsche 911 GT3 RS is showing some strong improvements over last year.
