- Audi A8 production car: ‘Award for Design Excellence’
Both Audi product premieres at the Detroit Auto Show, the Audi e-tron show car and the Audi A8 production car, have won prestigious Awards.
In the 2010 Editors’ Choice Awards from Autoweek magazine, the Detroit showcar Audi e-tron was given the overall ‘Best in Show’ Award. ‘This was almost a unanimous decision,’ said AutoWeek editor Wes Raynal. ‘This is a concept, yes, but we loved the car’s size and proportions.’
And the Audi A8 was given the ‘Award for Design Excellence’ by the 2010 EyesOnDesign jury. This is the second year in a row that Audi has won the ‘Award for Design Excellence’, which was given to the Audi Sportback concept in 2009.
