Spanish lady racer María de Villota will be at the wheel of an Audi A4 DTM during the DTM race event at Barcelona in Spain from September 19th till 21st. In front of a crowd of Spanish race fans, the daughter of ex-Formula 1 driver Emilio de Villota will be completing a DTM test with the 470 hp strong Audi touring car.
“The DTM is a fantastic race series”, the 28-year old says. “Being able to race in front of a large crowd of enthusiastic fans is something special for any racing driver and I am looking forward to being part of this excitement at Barcelona.” Additionally, de Villota will be on duty as a taxi driver during the eighth DTM race weekend of the season at the Circuit de Catalunya. She will provide some adrenalin shots to a few lucky winners who will get a passenger ride in an Audi R8. Of course, her personal highlight is the DTM test. “I can hardly await getting behind the wheel of the Audi A4 DTM”, she says.
