Josh Hurley will have the coveted pole position in tomorrow’s Jetta TDI Cup at Mosport International Raceway in the only international race in this all-new racing series. After a practice session in the morning on a wet track in the rain, the qualifying race was run under dry conditions allowing the drivers to make use of both conditions in order to prepare for tomorrow’s race. The second race of the Jetta TDI Cup will take place tomorrow at 11:55 a.m.

“I’m really happy to be on the pole position again and looking forward to running here at Mosport,” said Hurley. “Even though the results of the first race weren’t what I’d hoped, I really feel that with the pole position and the support of Gunther Volkswagen tomorrow I’ll be able to have a really strong day.”

Unfortunately not. I’ve been meaning to ask some of the marketing people at VW.

It would be nice to get immediate results. I am surprised VW does not have a system in place. We have a racer involved, would be nice to get news faster. Thanks for your updates! VW Dealer

Hurley actually qualified second and castagna was on pole by .8 seconds. Due to penalties from VIR Castagna was moved back 4 positions
