American guest: new Racing Jetta in DTM paddock for the first time

Three weeks ago it made its racing début in the United States, now it can be seen at the DTM for the first time.

The new Racing Jetta with a 170-hp TDI engine and an innovative 6-speed DGS gearbox is parked at the Volkswagen Hospitality in the paddock. The first diesel-powered one-make cup in the United States, which is staging a round at Mosport, Canada, this weekend, completely follows the philosophy of the ADAC Volkswagen Polo Cup: the racing cars are centrally – and thus affordably – fielded and are driven exclusively by youngsters, who have qualified themselves in an evaluation process.

In addition to the Racing Jetta, the Volkswagen Tiguan (“Track & Field” version) as well as – for the first time – the Passat CC, as both an elegant saloon and a dynamic coupé, are on display at the EuroSpeedway.
