Three weeks ago it made its racing début in the United States, now it can be seen at the DTM for the first time.
The new Racing Jetta with a 170-hp TDI engine and an innovative 6-speed DGS gearbox is parked at the Volkswagen Hospitality in the paddock. The first diesel-powered one-make cup in the United States, which is staging a round at Mosport, Canada, this weekend, completely follows the philosophy of the ADAC Volkswagen Polo Cup: the racing cars are centrally – and thus affordably – fielded and are driven exclusively by youngsters, who have qualified themselves in an evaluation process.
In addition to the Racing Jetta, the Volkswagen Tiguan (”Track & Field” version) as well as – for the first time – the Passat CC, as both an elegant saloon and a dynamic coupé, are on display at the EuroSpeedway.
