Yesterday we reported that the new DTM regulations will not be introduced untill 2010, unless a new manufacturer wants to enter in 2009. One of the reasons is that Audi has developed a new A4 for next year and wants to run this car for at least two seasons.

The new Audi A4 DTM has had it’s first roll-out last week at the French circuit of Paul Ricard Le Castellet. From thurday till saturday the new car was tested by 26-year old Martin Tomczyk. The testcar was driven by Frenchman Alexandre Premat, after Timo Scheider was feeling too ill to drive.
The first test of the new car was run without any complications and all components worked as planned.
