iCal Calendars for the BTCC and DTM racing series on SpeedTV

icalThe BTCC (British Touring Car Championship) and DTM (German Touring Car) series are finally coming to SpeedTV. Here in the United States we don’t get live coverage.

I went ahead and created two iCal based calendars since I use Thunderbird on XP and iCal on OSX.

These will be updated as the dates come in so set up refresh when you subscribe.

I’m using iCalShare to share them and iCalX to publish them.

Here are the direct links to subscribe or download.

Joshuaink: We’re getting a damn Audi and that’s that

Love it. Josh is dropin into the ol VAG brand! Welcome!

Good read with some good humor.

For that last two and a half years I have had the deeply humiliating displeasure of owning a Ford Mondeo and if ever there was a car designed to remove your soul bit by bit the Mundaneo is it. Fact is it’s been a good, solid, reliable car and has served us well but I hate everything it stands for and can’t wait to see the back of it.

Leaves all fashionable pretenders in its wake

The supporting tag is great. I can’t say much more for the first page of the article… it’s great Jeremy humor but nothing about the car u ntil page two.

Finally after 4 paragraphs into the second page you get this

Audi’s appeal, I think, is twofold. First, the cars are beautifully made. And second they are not BMWs.

let me paste that again:

Audi RS4

and then he finishes it off with

It goes like a scalded cock, corners beautifully, sounds like God with a cold, looks like Achilles, and best of all, if you buy one, you won’t have to buy something else tomorrow.

Battle of the bestsellers

The Times Online UK posted an article on two of the worlds top hatch’s, the Ford Focus vs. the VW GTI.

It’s a pretty honest review which goes into good detail about each ride. I actually like the new Focus ST, more asthetically than before, but my heart always falls to VW.

Ford has launched a red-blooded challenge to Volkswagen’s hot hatch champion. Nicholas Rufford and Andrew Frankel of The Sunday Times drove them head to head…

It has been like a feud simmering between two street fighters. For months Ford and Volkswagen have been circling each other and exchanging insults over Ford’s plans for a rival to the Golf GTI. Now they have moved in and started brawling.
