I’m not exactly sure why this is coming up on some news sites as it happened a while ago… anyway VW set an altitude world record with the Touareg.
Now, a Toyota Land Cruiser has already topped this but it had a modified suspension giving it greater ground clearance. The LC only topped the completely stock Touareg by less than a 1000ft.
Looks like Europe is getting the 2006 version first. Im still not sure how much I like the new design enhancements but overall it’s nice.
